Preferences & playback

A few settings can make it easier to work, especially in a busy scene.

Start with the graph

Use Graph Preview to diagnose timing and range. Premium's Visual Preview is useful for reading the motion at a glance. If playback is slow, reduce preview detail or use lighter preview options where available before changing the animation itself.

Is the animation slow, or is the viewport struggling?

A viewport can be slow because of materials, real-time shadows, modifiers, geometry, or repeated dependency updates. Compare Solid shading with Rendered shading. If Solid is fast, lowering driver speed will not fix the rendering bottleneck.

Make repeat work easy

Driver Espresso and Premium include Favorites & Recent. Save the recipes you repeatedly reach for and use search for the rest. Lite keeps the smaller picker focused and does not include that section.

What will Reset change?

A parameter reset, a preset change, a preview preference and clearing an applied driver affect different things. Check the current mode and target before using a reset or clear action. Save a procedural copy before baking or replacing a setup.
