Something not working?

Try the checks below. Often it’s the selected property, the current frame, or a missing helper rather than the template itself.

Nothing moves when I press Play

Check that the template was applied, not merely previewed. Confirm the destination, that you are within the recipe's active time span, and that an input-driven recipe has a changing source. For one-shot motion, scrub back before its start.

Live controls are unavailable

Find the datablock that owns the effect. A selected mesh may use a driven material, light data or controller elsewhere. Read Targets & Live before reapplying. Reload refreshes an existing setup; it cannot reconstruct deleted resources.

My ball is flat after copying a scene

Inspect its driver variables for missing targets. Ball Bounce needs its sampled helper objects and actions. Restore the complete setup from a known-good file, or reapply on a backup with your recorded parameters. Do not replace your tuned values with defaults just to make the warning disappear.

The door or rotor turns around the wrong point

Check the origin, local axes, parenting and selected channel. Espresso drives values; it does not identify hinges or rebuild a model's hierarchy. Put the pivot where the motion belongs before applying.

The material glows but does not illuminate the scene

Visible emission and light cast onto surrounding objects are different parts of a lighting setup. Check your render engine and use an actual light for the illumination when needed. If synchronizing both, drive them from a coherent source and choose sensible power ranges.

Where are the keyframes?

Ordinary Espresso output is driven, so inspect Drivers rather than expecting a keyed action. Bake when the next stage of your pipeline needs keyframes. Ball Bounce's hidden sampled helper action is distinct from its public driven transforms.

Playback is slow

Compare Solid and Rendered shading, then isolate heavy modifiers and lights. Check for dependency-cycle warnings. Change one thing at a time and preserve a render-quality copy; a lower-poly model is not always the relevant fix.

Still stuck?

Include your Blender version, edition, template name, the exact destination property, whether you are in Setup or Live, and the full error text. A small reproducible scene with required helpers is more useful than a screenshot of a disabled button alone.
